There\u2019s an unidentified object floating nearby!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Metisha glanced over at the Natisien activating her communicator. A small lens popped out in front of her right eye.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the HUD, she saw a strange white object. She thought it looked familiar and while she couldn\u2019t recall what it was; she had an idea where it was from.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGet Petrez. I think that\u2019s from earth,\u201d Metisha said. \u201cI bet he would know.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her assistant left and a few moments passed before he returned with the older Inersien, with his communicator already activated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI know you were resting and I apologize,\u201d the commander said. \u201cBut you are the only one on this ship who returned from Earth.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes, your assistant told me about it.\u201d Petrez chuckled as he looked at his HUD. \u201cAhna would love to see this.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhy? What does my mother have to do with this?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s a vehicle the humans used to get around the surface of their planet. Actually, it was one of the many designs, anyway. Ahna had one, although it didn\u2019t look like that.\u201d Petrez paused and looked at Metisha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She tipped her head and raised an eyebrow.&nbsp;\u201cSo it\u2019s a shuttle?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Petrez chuckled. \u201cNo, humans didn\u2019t make this for space travel, and it certainly wasn\u2019t white like this. That\u2019s solar damage.\u201d He paused briefly and put his hand on his hips, his insulated cape sliding open to reveal his formals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe solar radiation alone did most of the damage. If I can recall, it used to be red, and it had four air filled wheels.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nodding, Metisha deactivated her communicator. The HUD lens folded back, and she looked at him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHow did it get past the wall in one piece?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt probably got pulled into the anomaly.\u201d Petrez shrugged.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cShould we bring it to the human settlement?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Petrez stroked his black beard. The older generation shunned the old cultural norms after returning from earth. Most of the older men didn\u2019t shave all of their facial hair anymore and even Ahna left the safety of the city to stay in the caves with the Natisiens as a hali-seh. Comforting the bereaved and helping the sick seemed to help Metisha\u2019s mother deal with her grief of losing her husband.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt would probably fall apart if we touch it.\u201d Petrez deactivated his communicator.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe could have the Nahborians encase it for us,\u201d the assistant suggested. \u201cWe could send it back to earth so that they can put it in one of their\u2026\u201d He paused. \u201cWhat is it called where they put historical relics on display?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA \u2018museum\u2019\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cRight. Museum.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat might be a good idea.\u201d Metisha pointed to her assistant\u2019s tablet. \u201cLoad our conversation onto a beacon ship, along with the request and the coordinates of the object.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou know\u2026\u201d Petrez crossed his arms. \u201cI was there when they launched it into space.
